Alliance Brand parts Winners Welcome Shopping Spree

PORTLAND, Ore., - Three truck drivers who attended the 2009 Mid-America Truck Show in Louisville, Kentucky, came away with welcome souvenirs: $250 Alliance Parts gift certificates. The gift certificates offer the winning drivers an opportunity to select from a range of reliable new and remanufactured parts and accessories for all makes and models of class 5-8 vehicles and are redeemable at more than 1,000 Freightliner, Sterling, Western Star and Thomas Built Buses dealer locations in the U.S. and Canada.

Junior Johnson, Aynor, South Carolina; Greg Lytle, Friendsville, Maryland; and Jim Wolff, Liberty Center, Ohio were the daily certificate winners, selected at random from MATS attendees who scanned their entrance badges at the Alliance Parts booth.

Johnson, who drives a 1980 Freightliner FLT flat top, has not yet redeemed his gift certificate, but says he probably will use it for mud guards, filters or lights at Triple T, a Freightliner, Sterling and Western Star dealer in Florence, South Carolina. "It is a real good dealer," said Johnson, who's been driving long haul loads across the U.S. for ten years.

Lytle anticipates using his gift certificate for general maintenance items at Freightliner of Hagerstown, in nearby Hagerstown, Pennsylvania. With 13 years of experience under his belt, Lytle drives auto parts and general short haul loads throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland. He owns three trucks: a 2001 Freightliner FLB 120, a 2001 Volvo 660 and a 2004 Volvo 610.

For Wolff, who says he never won anything before, the prize came at the right time. Since Alliance parts can be used on all makes and models of trucks, he plans to use his gift certificate for Allianceā„¢ brake parts and shoes for his 2000 Kenworth W900L. Based in Liberty Center, Ohio, Wolff has been driving for 30 years, the last 15 hauling hazardous waste across the U.S.
