Alliance Truck Parts Hosts the Race That Trucking Built

The Alliance Truck Parts 250 Will Be Held at Michigan International Speedway on June 15

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – March 20, 2013 – Alliance Truck Parts Racing, sponsor of the NASCAR Nationwide Series No. 12 Ford Mustang driven by Sam Hornish Jr., continues its title sponsorship of the Alliance Truck Parts 250 at Michigan International Speedway (MIS). This year’s event is billed as the “Race That Trucking Built” in honor of its customers and fans from the commercial transportation sector.

The 2013 Alliance Truck Parts 250 will mark the 21st appearance of NASCAR Nationwide racing at MIS, and fans will see many of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series’ top stars go head-to-head on one of the fastest race tracks in NASCAR.

"Our NASCAR Nationwide affiliation and sponsorship of this great race has been fantastic for awareness of the Alliance Truck Parts all-makes brand,” said Todd Biggs, director, Aftermarket Parts and Service Marketing for Daimler Trucks North America. “The Alliance Truck Parts 250 started in 2011 and brought a new level of excitement to our customers and our organization. We’ve billed it as the race that trucking built not only because of what trucking means to NASCAR, but its significance on our economy and country. Truck drivers should be celebrated. We can’t think of a better way to share our appreciation than through the excitement of automotive racing.”

Alliance Truck Parts 250 focuses attention on all the benefits that the trucking industry brings to daily life with a dose of racing excitement that’s hard to forget. To celebrate truck drivers, Alliance will offer promotions and special offers to currently licensed commercial drivers at the ATP250.

The consistent performance needed for drivers and their crews to win in racing is something that Alliance points to as a parallel need in trucking. “In trucking, like racing, there’s a dependence on the machine’s ability to perform that relies on having the right parts at the right time and a strong team,” added Biggs. “Alliance Truck Parts works to provide those quality parts and service at value prices for independent owner operators and fleets alike at more than 800 locations across the U.S. and Canada. That puts Alliance in close proximity to anywhere a driver might need a pit stop. We’re proud to welcome fans back this June for another unforgettable day of racing at MIS.”

Attending fans will see Sam Hornish Jr. compete for the 2013 Nationwide Series championship. And for those not able to attend, the Alliance Truck Parts 250 will be televised on ABC. Check listings for local broadcast times. Tickets for the race can be purchased by calling the MIS ticket hotline at 1-800-354-1010 or by logging on to
