LOUISVILLE, Ky. – March 25, 2010 – The Chrome Shop Mafia is at it again. This time, the crew has tricked out a 2010 Freightliner Cascadia® that features the all new drivers’ lounge for Freightliner Trucks.
The enhanced Cascadia, on view at Freightliner Trucks’ booth (#30115) during the Mid-America Truck Show (MATS), features an intricate exterior design, complete with a specially-designed visor, stainless wire grill inserts, flush-mount starbrite stainless frame covers, Chrome Shop Mafia axle covers, shortened fairings for fuel tank covers and more. Sleek graphics and custom touches, such as a unique paint job that flows over custom-built rear fenders specific to this truck, finish the look.
“The Chrome Shop Mafia has again managed to take an already great looking truck and create something even more special,” said Melissa Clausen, product marketing director for Freightliner Trucks. “Our partnership with the Chrome Shop Mafia always results in eye-catching trucks that highlight all of the best features on our products.”
Freightliner Trucks and the Chrome Shop Mafia have worked together for two years, most recently customizing the all-new Coronado® for the product’s launch at the Chrome Shop Mafia’s “Guilty by Association” show in late 2009. The crew also showcased a tricked-out 2009 Cascadia at MATS last year.
“What I like most about working with Freightliner’s trucks is the ease of customization,” said Joe Overfelt with the Chrome Shop Mafia. “Freightliner makes it simple for every owner-operator to create their own unique truck that will turn heads every time.”
Freightliner Trucks and the Chrome Shop Mafia will host a special Q&A Forum on Friday, March 26, from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m., at the Freightliner booth (#30115). The crew will also be available to answer questions about the tricked-out Cascadia and Coronado on Friday, March 26, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., and Saturday, March 27, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
