Cummins ISX12 Now Available for Freightliner Day Cab

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – March 21, 2012 – Freightliner Trucks today announced the availability of the Cummins ISX12 heavy-duty engine as an option for the Freightliner Cascadia® 113-inch day cab.

The compact ISX12 12-liter engine is designed to work in rigorous duty cycles, and is ideal for regional haul, vocational and specialty applications. The engine delivers strong puling power, excellent throttle response and enhanced fuel economy.

The ISX12 offers the XPI common rail fuel system and an electronically activated VGT™ turbocharger for enhanced response and control. Ratings range from 310-425 hp with a maximum 1650 lb-ft of peak torque.
