FORT MILL, SC — December 17, 2014 — Daimler Trucks Remarketing’s Angelique Pierce was elected to the Used Truck Association (UTA) Board of Directors as of November 2014 by a member vote. She is the board’s first African-American member. She was named the new Board Secretary as well as the Marketing Committee Chairperson, in an announcement made at the association’s annual convention in Scottsdale, AZ.
Pierce is the manager of used truck marketing and pricing at Daimler Trucks Remarketing, a Daimler Trucks North America company. Daimler Trucks Remarketing is a strong supporter of the UTA and has been a long time platinum-level sponsor of the annual convention.
Pierce’s involvement with the UTA dates back to September 2010. Shortly after joining the association, she became a member of the Marketing Committee, writing many articles for the UTA’s monthly newsletter and assisting with editing it. Pierce also took a lead role in the UTA’s Young Members Group which assists the next generation of used truck professionals at getting connected, and staying connected, to the UTA, in addition to providing support to both the UTA dealer group and the UTA overall.
“The UTA is more than just an association; it’s truly a family. For me, being on the UTA Board is about serving the members in ways that will help them grow their businesses and continue to support the used truck industry overall,” said Pierce. “As they say, ‘iron sharpens iron,’ and being a UTA member has given me the opportunity to rub elbows with and learn from some of the best in the business. You can’t buy that kind of teaching. I am truly looking forward to sharing my ideas and learning new ones.”
The UTA is an organization comprised of used truck professionals and associated businesses committed to strengthening the used truck industry. It promotes professional growth and prosperity for its members, education and training for those involved in the used truck marketplace, and advocates the highest standards of service and conduct.
