LOUISVILLE, Ky. – March 27, 2008 – Freightliner Trucks announced today that the revolutionary Cascadia™ is now available in a 72-inch XT model. The new model of the Class 8 vehicle is the second sleeper variation of the on-highway truck to be introduced.
Constructed with Freightliner Truck’s Run Smart philosophy to be the most productive, efficient and drivable truck on the market, the Cascadia also was developed with driver needs in mind. The Cascadia 72-inch XT, designed for flatbed and tanker operations, features a standup sleeper that boasts 78 inches from the base of the bunk to the ceiling, allowing drivers to comfortably stand to full height. The Cascadia 72-inch XT has an optional upper bunk or storage cabinets against the back wall of the cab, providing additional storage and maximizing space.
“Freightliner Trucks understands the wants and needs of its customers, and we strive to consistently create new models that surpass their expectations,” said Melissa Kellogg, director of product marketing for Freightliner Trucks.
Following the introduction of the Cascadia 72-inch XT at booth #30135 at the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) March 27-29 in Louisville, Ky., Freightliner Trucks will introduce additional sleeper variations throughout 2008, including a 60-inch raised roof, 60-inch XT and the 48-inch XT.
