Freightliner Appoints Bob Pacillas Manager of Gastonia, N.C., Parts Manufacturing Plant

PORTLAND, OREGON?Freightliner LLC today named Bob Pacillas manager of the company's Gastonia, N.C., Parts Manufacturing Plant, effective immediately. In his new position, Pacillas will be responsible for all Gastonia plant operations including production, quality, materials, facilities engineering, human resources and maintenance. He reports to Sung Lee, General Manager of Manufacturing Operations for Freightliner LLC.

A 26-year Freightliner veteran, Pacillas was most recently serving as Director of Production at the company?s Cleveland, N.C., Truck Manufacturing Plant, which builds Freightliner-brand heavy-duty trucks. He has held a variety of management positions of increasing responsibility in production and materials and has also worked at the company?s Mount Holly, N.C., Truck Manufacturing Plant, which produces Freightliner Business Class M2 medium-duty vehicles. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Kennedy-Western University.

The Gastonia Parts Manufacturing Plant began operations in 1979 and today employs over 700 workers. The plant produces cab and chassis parts for Freightliner?s truck manufacturing operations and parts distribution centers.
