Freightliner Custom Chassis Announces Long-Term Agreement with Fleetwood RV

GAFFNEY, S.C…. Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation (FCCC) and Fleetwood RV have announced a long-term agreement that will make FCCC the exclusive chassis suppler for Fleetwood’s Providence, Excursion and Revolution models, effective August 1, 2005. FCCC has been the exclusive chassis supplier for the Bounder diesel, Discovery and Expedition since the introduction of these models in the mid- to late-1990s. This new partnership agreement will add the mid-line models to an already strong lineup of Fleetwood diesel products built on Freightliner chassis.

“Freightliner Custom Chassis has been an integral part of the success that we have enjoyed in our diesel product line,” said Larry Mace, Senior Vice President of Purchasing for Fleetwood RV. “FCCC leads the industry in new product development and innovative technology as well as aftermarket customer support. It just made solid business sense to join forces with FCCC as we approach the challenges of the next several years.”

“Freightliner Custom Chassis is very pleased to announce this renewed relationship with Fleetwood RV,” said Jack Conlan, FCCC President. “As an industry leader in the RV arena, we continue to develop new product features that will provide our customers with the latest in RV technology.”

As examples of FCCC’s leading technology, Conlan cited FCCC’s 55-degree wheel cut with an I-Beam front axle and patent-pending drop rail that allows for a lowered engine, resulting in a flat floor in the bedroom.
