Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation Is the Exclusive Manufacturer of Winnebago® Evolution Chassis

GAFFNEY, S.C….Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation has introduced a special version of its proven XC chassis exclusively for select Winnebago® Industries motorhomes. Recently unveiled at the Winnebago Industries Dealer Days event in Las Vegas, Nev., the Evolution™ chassis provides many features and benefits unique to Winnebago Industries.

Developed in conjunction with Winnebago Industries, the Evolution features a one-of-a-kind formed rail design for motor homes, which results in a lighter, stiffer chassis than typical raised-rail chassis, allowing for greater storage capacity compared to traditional straight-rail designs. The Evolution chassis comes equipped with a Caterpillar® C7 330-horsepower or Cummins® ISC 350-horsepower engine as well as the optional ZF Independent Front Suspension with air disc brakes and industry-leading 56-degree wheel cut. In addition, Winnebago Industries' Evolution chassis will retain all the features and benefits of Freightliner’s XC chassis, including a three-year, 50,000-mile limited warranty with roadside assistance and towing.

Freightliner Custom Chassis will supply the Evolution chassis for Winnebago Vectra and Itasca® Horizon motorhome models exclusively for the 2004 model year.
