Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation Offers New Commercial Bus Dealer Training Program
GAFFNEY, S.C…Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation (FCCC) is inaugurating a nationwide bus dealer-training program. Called the “Selling Success Series,” the program is an exclusive educational opportunity designed to train dealers in chassis basics.
With this new course of instruction, dealers will gain insight into the technical features, functions and benefits of Freightliner’s MB, FB and XB chassis. Passing this knowledge on to customers will enable dealers to help their customers make more informed purchases, which ultimately leads to higher customer satisfaction with the dealer and the product.
“Our ‘Selling Success Series’ gives bus dealers and body OEMs a powerful sales tool,” said Dean Schaper, FCCC Director of Sales & Marketing.
The “Selling Success Series” is sent to dealers in the form of a training kit consisting of a chassis features video, a training manual, participant workbooks and FCCC bus brochures. Course materials are designed for self-study or instructor facilitation. Participants who complete the course take a knowledge assessment test, which is submitted to FCCC for review. Correctly completed tests earn participants an official FCCC “Selling Success Series” certificate.
The body manufacturers’ reaction to the program has been enthusiastic. According to Paul Marchi, contract administrator for Champion Bus, “The Selling Success kit has been an excellent resource for Champion Bus, and it’s enabling us to better represent the products and serve our customers.”
