“Driven by You” Better Supports Company’s Relationships with Customers
CHICAGO, Ill.—In an effort to better reflect the commitment of Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation (FCCC) to its customers, the company publicly announced at BusCon 2008 that it has changed its tagline to “Driven by You.” The tagline was recently launched internally and was formally introduced to the industry today.
“With this new tagline, FCCC wants to communicate to its customers that their satisfaction is our highest priority,” said Jonathan Randall, director of sales and marketing for FCCC. “We are committed to ensuring our customers have a positive experience and that we effectively respond to their needs. As the leading manufacturer of diesel chassis, we are dedicated to providing high-quality products that surpass customer expectations while continuing to provide best-in-class customer service.”
Customers in the motor home, walk-in van and shuttle bus industries will see the tagline incorporated into FCCC ads, banners and product literature. Dealers, OEMs and body builders will receive a brand launch kit with a book that explains the new tagline and philosophy behind FCCC’s decision for change.
The tagline replaces “The Leader at Every Turn,” which FCCC had utilized on all of its marketing and sales collateral during the past five years. After promoting FCCC’s leadership position in all the markets it serves, the company felt it was time to let its customers know that the focus is truly on their needs, which FCCC President Bob Harbin said was the main reason the company decided to make the change.
“While we are still the market leader in all addressable segments, we wanted to convey to our customers and end users that our actions are driven by their requirements, not the other way around,” Harbin said.
FCCC credits its customers for playing a vital role in the many chassis innovations the company has engineered and introduced to the market because the products were developed based upon customer input.
In addition to the new tagline, FCCC also introduced a refreshed logo with a more three-dimensional design. The logo respects the FCCC heritage and retains the Freightliner emblem, but aligns itself more accurately with the company’s new tagline.
“The logo incorporates more chrome, supporting the look and feel of performance, machinery and heavy-duty diesel chassis while drawing upon the lineage to the Freightliner brand of Daimler Trucks North America and Daimler AG,” Randall said.
