Freightliner Expands Service Network and Adds New Customer Support Services

Louisville, KY.… Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation today announced new programs that will increase the number of high-quality service points for motorhome chassis and add sales and service support for RV dealers and consumers.

At the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association National RV Trade show in Louisville, Ky., Freightliner Custom Chassis President Jack Conlan detailed the company’s plans to expand its service network by adding service locations at selected RV dealers nationwide, and at Freightliner affiliates throughout the country.

“We’re focused on finding even more ways to enhance the Freightliner chassis owners’ experience,” Conlan said. “In addition to more conveniently located, RV-friendly service points, we’re expanding the training and support programs we provide to RV and Freightliner dealers.”

Oasis Service Network in Place and Expanding

Freightliner Custom Chassis’ growing network of RV service specialists, called the Oasis Service Network, includes dealers from coast to coast. Service writers

and managers at the Oasis dealership locations recently attended a three-day training conference in Charlotte, N.C., with RV dealers and Freightliner Custom Chassis representatives. The training conference was designed to share the latest product and service developments and hone customer service skills.

“We will continue adding first-rate dealers to the Oasis Service Network in 2003,” Conlan added. “Our Oasis dealers have made a significant commitment to addressing the unique service needs of motorhome owners. They have dedicated facilities or areas, highly-trained service personnel and other amenities that make their dealerships especially RV-friendly and efficient. We’re actively recruiting more Oasis Service Network members so the high level of service is more readily available.”

The Freightliner Custom Chassis Call Center has been enhanced with new systems that further improve efficiency in responding to motorhome owner calls. The system also allows the company to measure the volume of calls received at any given time so staffing levels can be quickly adjusted to respond to customers promptly.

New Training Programs Available to Sharpen Dealer Expertise

Freightliner Custom Chassis also has increased the service and product training support it provides to both Freightliner and RV manufacturer dealers by establishing a new, certified training location in Salt Lake City, Utah, primarily for use by western U.S. dealerships. In addition, a Freightliner mobile trainer has been certified on all motorhome chassis products and will offer product training to dealers throughout the U.S.

Freightliner Custom Chassis is also distributing a new Selling Success Series training kit for all RV dealers that sell Freightliner motorhome chassis. The new kit features a video and accompanying training curriculum for RV sales

personnel. The training kit is now being distributed to major RV dealers nationwide and also is available to qualified dealers by calling 800-545-8831.

“We’re aggressively broadening the base of field expertise in all corners of the country to be more responsive to both the motorhome owners’ and our dealers’ needs,” Conlan explained. “We intend to extend our leadership of this market by offering both the best premium chassis products and customer support services.”
