Unique “Revolutions” Calendar Is an Imaginative Look Into the Potential Future of Commercial Vehicle Design
PORTLAND, OREGON…Freightliner LLC has unveiled the Revolutions 2004 future-concept truck calendar. Created by Freightliner’s Design Group, the one-of-a-kind calendar is an imaginative look into the possible future of commercial vehicle styling and design. The limited-edition calendar is now available at:
Revolutions features full-color illustrations and futuristic depictions of products from Freightliner Trucks, Sterling Trucks, Western Star Trucks, American LaFrance fire and emergency vehicles and Thomas Built school buses. The 19” x 24” calendar is printed on premium-quality paper and includes a forward by Ferdinand F. Hellhake, Director of Styling for Freightliner LLC.
“The Freightliner Group has a reputation for always looking ahead and keeping a keen eye on the future,” Hellhake explained. “The Revolutions 2004 calendar is intended as a fun and illuminating peek into the potential future of commercial vehicle design.”
“We thought it would be interesting to ask our designers to look several decades down the road and wonder ‘what if,’” added Jeffrey Fisher, Director of Corporate Communications for the Freightliner Group. “The end result is a striking and thought-provoking piece that can be enjoyed throughout the year by truck lovers and non-trucking enthusiasts alike.”
Each calendar month showcases a different vehicle and features original art. Technologies depicted in the illustrations include advanced aerodynamics, active suspension controls, modular construction, joystick steering controls, fuel cells and other forward-looking concepts.
The entire Freightliner Design Group contributed to the Revolutions 2004 Calendar. The designers cited Leonardo da Vinci, Star Wars and Frank Lloyd Wright as some of their artistic influences.
“We hope people enjoy this calendar as much as we enjoyed creating it,” Hellhake said.
The price of the calendar is $19.95. It is exclusively available on-line.
