Freightliner LLC Names Friedrich Baumann as President of Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing
PORTLAND, Oregon – Freightliner LLC today announced that Friedrich Baumann has been appointed President of Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing. Baumann will be responsible for the overall vision, strategy and operations of Freightliner’s rapidly growing remanufacturing business, including the company’s five remanufacturing locations throughout North America.

Baumann’s most recent role was General Manager of Purchasing and Supply for Freightliner. Friedrich joined the company in 1993 as a Financial Analyst and since then, has held various positions of increasing responsibility with the company in such areas as controlling, product cost reductions and used truck operations, where he developed a close relationship with major fleet customers of Freightliner and its dealer organization.
Baumann succeeds Jim Morrow, who elected to retire after nearly 40 years of service with Detroit Diesel.
