PORTLAND, OREGON....Freightliner LLC today named Jack Conlan Senior Vice President of Customer Support, effective immediately. Conlan had been serving as president of the company’s Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation (FCCC) business unit since 1998. In his new role, Conlan will lead the company’s efforts to provide unsurpassed customer support across the spectrum of its brands and products. Conlan also will serve as a member of the Freightliner LLC Executive Committee and will represent FCCC on the Committee. He reports directly to Chris Patterson, President and CEO of Freightliner LLC.

Under Conlan’s leadership, FCCC, based in Gaffney, S.C., increased sales by 27% in 2004 to 28,400 units. FCCC has also consolidated its leadership position as North America’s leading manufacturer of diesel walk-in van chassis and Type A diesel motor home chassis.
As Freightliner LLC’s Senior Vice President of Customer Support, Conlan will be charged with the continued expansion of Freightliner LLC’s parts business, which exceeded $1 billion revenues in 2004, as well as key strategic initiatives related to parts support, service development, service quality and warranty.
Conlan first joined Freightliner LLC in February 1998 as Assistant Plant Manager at the company’s Cleveland, N.C., Truck Manufacturing Plant. He has over twenty years experience in truck and automotive manufacturing, and has held a range of management positions in production, quality and plant and division operations. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois and a M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
Conlan is relocating to Portland, Ore., with his family.
Freightliner LLC plans to name a new President of Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation shortly.
