PORTLAND, ORE. – Freightliner Trucks is proud to announce its winning customers from the seventh annual Paul K. Young Memorial Truck Beauty Show, held at the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) March 22-24. Three customers took home honors in the Freightliner Run Smart™ Awards – a brand new category in the show this year – while additional Freightliner owners placed in other classes.
“We established the Run Smart Awards at this competition to recognize our customers who put in the time and effort to show their passion for the industry and their trucks,” said Jonathan Randall, director of marketing for Freightliner Trucks.

First Place - $500 Fuel Card: Edward Bosket of Lake City, Fla., placed first with his blue 2007 Coronado®, which has been spec’d out with stained glass details and a chromed engine and interior. Bosket also took first place in Bobtail First Show.
Second Place - $250 Fuel Card: Russ and Debbie Brown of Moore, Okla., took second place with their black 2001 Classic XL™. Dubbed “Wild One” because it’s painted with an image of Marlon Brando from the movie of the same name, the truck also features custom-painted flames and plenty of stainless steel accessories. The Browns also were awarded second place in the Bobtail 2000-2004 category and second place in Bobtail Paint and Mural.
Third Place - $100 Fuel Card: Rob Gentry of Fulda, Ind., earned third place with his red 1996 Freightliner Classic XL. His truck features a custom-painted hood, remote-control suicide doors, a sunroof, wood floors, and almost 300 LED lights. Gentry also took fourth place in Bobtail Limited Mileage.
Other Freightliner winners included:
• Lynn and Shelly Baxter of Jacksonville, Fla. took third place in the Bobtail Specialized category and second in the Interior Aftermarket Sleeper category with their white 2006 Freightliner.
• Eric Wink took third place in the Combo Dump Trailer category with his white and green Classic XL with Mac trailer.
