Gaffney, S.C… Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation's manufacturing facility in Gaffney, S.C., announced today the reopening of their on-site motorhome service center after the completion of an $11.4 million, 58,000-square-foot plant expansion, bringing the total facility size to 226,140-square-feet.
As part of the expansion, a new motorhome parking lot with eight electrical hook-ups was created. The new lot is conveniently located near the plant, yet removed from the noise and traffic of the manufacturing operations. Four service bays and a 30,000 lb. hoist are dedicated to motorhome service; such as scheduled chassis maintenance, four-wheel alignment, air conditioning service and chassis warranty work.
"We are very pleased to resume our on-site motorhome service," said Jack Conlan, president of Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation. "We look forward to our customers returning to the newly expanded facility and taking advantage of the new parking lot and hook ups."
In addition to the newly refurbished service lounge, tours of the facility are offered each weekday at 1:30pm, allowing customers to see the chassis manufacturing operation.
To schedule an appointment, call Dave Brown at 1-800-FTL-HELP or (864) 206-8613. The plant is easily accessible, approximately one-mile east off I-85 at Exit 90 (Hwy 105).
