Freightliner to Participate in Clean '01 and IBIE '01

Gaffney, SC…Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation announced they will present their new walk-in van chassis at Clean '01 in New Orleans on July 19-22 and the International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) to be held in Las Vegas on September 10-14, 2001.

At Clean '01, the World Educational Congress for the laundering and drycleaning industry, Freightliner will be introducing its new single-rear wheel MT-45 chassis. Equipped with the Cummins ISB diesel engine and Allison 1000 Series 5-speed automatic transmission, it's specifically designed for operator efficiency and increased vehicle capacity. The MT-45 is available in gross vehicle weight ratings from 14,500 lbs. to 19,000 lbs. and can accommodate van bodies with load space lengths from 12 to 18 feet. This vehicle is ideal for dry cleaning, linen and uniform service delivery vehicles where cargo volume and high payload capacity are important.

At IBIE, Freightliner will debut the all-new MT-35 chassis, which has been updated with a single-rear wheel axle. This chassis also features the new Cummins ISB 4-cylinder diesel engine and the Allison 1000 Series automatic transmission. With a GVWR rating of 10,000 lbs., this vehicle is especially suited for the baking and snack food industries.

"We're excited to be participating in both of these highly attended shows," said Joe Snyder, Product Manager for Freightliner's walk-in van chassis. "The improvements we've made to the MT chassis series will enable companies to increase load volume while improving efficiency for their route salesmen."

Freightliner invites all visitors to view their vehicles and speak with their sales representatives at booth 4018 for Clean '01 and booth 4860 for IBIE.
