Freightliner Trucks and Western Star Host Ride-and-Drives at Mid-America Trucking Show
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – March 21, 2012 – Freightliner Trucks and Western Star Truck Sales, Inc. are hosting ride-and-drives at the 2012 Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS), March 22-24. Taking place during show hours, participants can test drive a vehicle from each respective brand on a loop around the Kentucky Exposition Center.
The trucks available to drive include:
- A 2012 Freightliner Cascadia® 125 with a 72-inch Raised Roof sleeper equipped with a 475 hp Detroit DD15® engine and Eaton UltraShift® PLUS transmission.
- A Western Star® 4900 set-back (SB) with Fuel Efficiency (FE) package featuring a 123-inch BBC and 68-inch Stratosphere® sleeper. The 4900SB FE package is equipped with a 475 hp DD15 engine and Eaton 13-speed transmission.
Drivers must have a current CDL to participate, and can sign up for a ride-and-drive at the Freightliner Trucks booth (#30125) or the Western Star booth (#30155) during the show.
