Freightliner Trucks Appoints Looysen, Director, Business Class and Vocational Sales
PORTLAND, OREGON…Jim Looysen has been named Director, Business Class and Vocational Sales for Freightliner Trucks. In his new position, Looysen is responsible for sales of Freightliner’s Class 5-8 Business Class product line and Class 8 vocational trucks. These vehicles work in a wide variety of applications, including pick-up and delivery, local and regional distribution, refuse collection, construction, food & beverage delivery, utility and municipal service, agricultural service and towing & recovery.
Looysen first joined Freightliner in 1997 as a vocational sales manager focused on agricultural markets. Before that, he worked in fleet sales management for over 9 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from North Dakota State University.
Looysen succeeds Alex Bernasconi, Freightliner’s Director of Business Class and Vocational Sales since February 1999. Bernasconi has been promoted to General Manager, Sales, for Freightliner Trucks’ Western U.S. region.
