Freightliner Trucks Rolls Out New Lease Program for Business Class® M2 Model

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY…Freightliner Trucks, in conjunction with DaimlerChrysler Services Truck Finance and Freightliner Market Development Corporation, today announced the launch of a new lease program for medium-duty Business Class® M2 106 trucks. The new financing package, called the “2005 BizLease Program”, offers new Business Class M2 customers the ability to operate first-class vehicles with flexible payment options and low capital investments. The announcement was made at the Mid-America Trucking Show here.

Through the 2005 BizLease program, qualified buyers can lease up to five units with minimum advance cash requirements on 48- or 60-month terms. Because the BizLease financing plan is a walkaway, or fair market value (FMV), lease program, customers have the option to purchase the vehicle at the current fair market value or return the truck to the selling dealer at lease maturity.

“The 2005 BizLease program is another example of Freightliner Trucks’ and DaimlerChrysler Services Truck Finance’s commitment to providing our customers with workable and effective business solutions,” said Mark Lampert, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Freightliner Trucks. “Not only does this financing package provide our customers with a means to a valuable business tool for success and productivity, it also helps our dealers develop long-term relationships with the buyers. It’s a win-win situation for everyone.”

The BizLease program is available on 2006 model year Business Class M2 106 trucks with gross vehicle weights of 25,500 or 33,000 pounds. Vehicles equipped with Mercedes-Benz MBE900 engines, Freightliner proprietary axles and transmissions from Mercedes-Benz or Allison qualify under the program guidelines.

Eligible body types are flat-beds, stake-beds, dry vans and refrigerated trailers. Truck lessees are also required to acknowledge specific return conditions and a limit of 30,000 miles per year. However, customers may purchase up to 20,000 additional miles, allowing for a 50,000-mile per year maximum.

“This program offers a convenient and easy road to truck ownership for our customer,” said Lampert. “With a low advance payment and low monthly lease payments, the BizLease program allows our customers to focus their operations with an efficient and reliable vehicle.”

“Our Business Class M2 106 already offers our customers superior maneuverability, expansive visibility and outstanding performance capabilities,” Lampert added. “This new financing program, paired with the product attributes of the M2 106, gives them an additional advantage for achieving their business goals.”
