LOUISVILLE, Ky. – March 20, 2013 – Freightliner Trucks will showcase its evolutionary products that contribute to lowering the total cost of ownership at the 2013 Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS). The booth will feature an interactive display that includes the innovative 2014 Freightliner Cascadia® Evolution equipped with the enhanced Detroit™ DD15® engine.
The focal point of the Freightliner booth will be a full-scale replica of its proprietary, state-of-the-art wind tunnel. The only OEM-owned and operated wind tunnel in North America, Freightliner engineers use the wind tunnel to test and refine product innovations, including the Cascadia Evolution. Show attendees will have the opportunity to experience a simulation of how the wind tunnel works through visual and sensory cues.
“Freightliner Trucks leads the industry in developing innovative products that result in enhanced performance, best-in-class fuel efficiency and increased uptime,” said Mary Aufdemberg, director of product marketing for Freightliner Trucks. “Our booth at MATS will showcase all of the elements that seamlessly work together to benefit our customers and their bottom lines.”
