DEARBORN, Mich. – Sept. 12, 2016 – Freightliner Trucks’ breadth of flexible and efficient solutions for truck equipment manufacturers (TEMs) will be featured at the NTEA Truck Product Conference (Sept. 13-15, 2016) in Dearborn, Mich.
TEM representatives will have the opportunity to explore Freightliner trucks, including a 108SD crane truck and a M2 106 box truck with the new Detroit™ DD5® medium duty engine. Freightliner will also showcase its recent expansion of its All-Wheel Drive (AWD) offerings, featuring increased ratings for two of Freightliner’s toughest trucks, the 108SD and 114SD. With AWD ratings for the 108SD available in 18,000 lbs. and 20,000 lbs. front steer drive axle configurations and 20,000 lbs. and 23,000 lbs. configurations for the 114SD, these trucks can take on even tougher challenges without compromising performance.
In addition, information about the DD5 engine will be available. The new engine can now be ordered in the M2 106 for pick-up and delivery applications.
“We know truck equipment manufacturers and customers want options and features that will ultimately have a positive impact on their bottom lines,” said Mary Aufdemberg, director of product marketing for Freightliner Trucks. “We work closely with both groups to design and engineer work truck products that prioritize quality, safety and uptime.”
