Fun Time Trolley Purchases Freightliner Custom Chassis XB Chassis

GAFFNEY, S.C—Fun Time Trolley of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., recently purchased five XB Chassis from Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation (FCCC). The XB Chassis will be used on trolley buses that operate commuter routes throughout the Pigeon Forge area, including to and from Dollywood.

“We felt the XB was one of the more popular offerings among the companies that build trolley bus chassis,” said Scott Marine of Fun Time Trolley. “We particularly liked the Cummins® engine offering on the XB Chassis.”

With the Cummins ISB-02 275 horsepower engine with 660 lb.-ft. of torque, the XB Chassis lends itself well to providing transportation for the residents of Pigeon Forge and the thousands of tourists who visit every year. The XB Chassis features Meritor® brakes, Neway® air suspension and Sachs® shocks.

Dean Schaper, FCCC’s Director of Sales and Marketing, said, “Superior maneuverability and fuel economy make the XB Chassis series ideal for a variety of driving applications, such as the commuter routes run by Fun Time Trolley. The XB Chassis also provides reduced engine noise in the cabin thanks to the rear-configuration.”
