SelecTrucks Offers $2,000 Fuel Card on Fuel Efficient Engines to Help Fight Rising Costs

Fort Mill, SC (July 28, 2008) – As small fleets and owner-operators continue to navigate a market impacted by record-high fuel prices and a lagging economy, SelecTrucks is offering extra relief to customers. Providing a solution that pairs fuel-efficient trucks with a $2,000 fuel card offer, the used truck industry leader has taken a new step to demonstrate its commitment to providing customer support that matches the demands of the industry climate.

Starting July 7, SelecTrucks will offer a fuel card valued up to $2,000 on purchases of mid-roof Freightliner Columbia trucks powered by the highly fuel-efficient Mercedes-Benz 4000 engine. The combined benefits of the vehicle aerodynamics and the engines make the trucks ideal for reducing fuel costs by increasing efficiency.

“We understand our customers are dealing with unprecedented fuel costs, so we want to provide both short-term help with the fuel card and long-term help by emphasizing the importance of efficient trucks and engines,” said Drew Backeberg, Manager of Marketing and Customer Support at Daimler Trucks Remarketing Corporation

The fuel card offer runs through December 31, 2008. Customers should contact their local SelecTrucks Center for more details.
