Western Star Completes OOIDA’s “Spirit of the American Trucker” Tour
Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association Relied on Western Star to Tour the Country
WILLOUGHBY, OHIO…Western Star Trucks announced today that it has completed its two-year participation in the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association’s (OOIDA) “Spirit of the American Trucker” tour.
“We are pleased to have been an integral part of this cross-country tour,” said John Merrifield, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing for Western Star Trucks. “Western Star is the perfect truck for the tour’s long trips and demanding schedule.”
As a way of reaching prospective members, OOIDA frequently took its 4900 EX Western Star and display trailer on a cross-country tour. Board member, Woody Chambers, and his wife, Paula, lead the national awareness tour and invited owner-operators to meet them at any of their scheduled stops.
