Western Star Displays Vocational Trucks at Truxpo 2006
ABBOTSFORD, BC – Western Star is showcasing its premium on-highway and vocational trucks at Truxpo 2006, Western Canada’s largest truck, trailer, and equipment show, from Sept. 29-30.
Known for its line of premium vehicles, visitors to booth #526 can get an up-close look at a variety of Western Star® trucks including:
- 4900 EX with 82-inch Stratosphere™ sleeper and EPA 2007 Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine
- 4900 SA with 68-inch Stratosphere sleeper and MBE 4000 engine
- 4900 SA dump truck with Caterpillar C15 engine
The Western Star EPA 2007 chassis – a 4900 EX with a Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine – offers several updates including new cooling packages and exhaust systems. The new chassis fulfills all 2007 EPA emissions regulations and ensures peak engine efficiency. As the flagship of the Western Star brand, the 4900 EX features a set-back front axle, extended 132-inch BBC, and the traditional long-nose style that owner-operators appreciate.
The Western Star 4900 SA is ideal for any application. With unmatched on-site maneuverability, the set-back 4900 SA is available in two BBCs to accommodate different dump applications. Both BBCs feature a standard supervisibility hood, with a non-sloping hood available for larger radiators.
