On December 19, 2016, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia entered a Consent Decree between the United States of America and Detroit Diesel Corporation (DDC), under which DDC denied the Clean Air Act violations alleged by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) but, to avoid litigation, agreed to implement a school bus replacement project and a locomotive engine upgrade project. DDC agreed to make information regarding the status of these two projects publicly available and to maintain the information on the website for one year after the projects have been completed. Below are links to the Consent Decree, the semi-annual reports submitted by DDC to EPA, and other information regarding DDC’s progress in implementing the two projects.
